Broken World – Salim Sulaiman featuring Vishal Dadlani

A-Broken-World

“Broken World” is the English rendition of Salim Sulaiman’s “Khalipan” which, like its predecessor, is “dedicated to children across the world”. With the composers having recruited singer, record producer, composer, and performer Vishal Dadlani to be associated with the project was certainly a coup of sorts with Vishal’s powerful voice – still intact from the heydays of Pentagram – taking the song to another level. Much credit to Vishal for the strength of his topical lyrics too, which speaks of humanity falling apart, “freedom” being a spoken word, and “love” having become unknown, which aptly supports the composition and production of the Merchant brothers that touch on their obvious rock influences with guitarist Nyzel D’Lima as part of the supporting cast. Indeed, “Broken World” is a most significant song in today’s world as it begs people to provide an answer to the question that is real: What will this world be without children?
