Mumbai Till I Die | Full Album |Mumbai’s Finest

mumbai till i die final artworl

Formed in 2006, Mumbai’s Finest, as the name suggests, is based in erstwhile Bombay. The pack of musicians is fronted by Ace [a.k.a 39] with Kinga Rhymes, Ninja, D Hood and Adro, in ‘Mumbai Till I Die’, they launch an album of largely disparate songs, but all with an underlying genre: hip-hop. In attempting to take rap into pop mainstream, the multiple rappers of Mumbai’s Finest use a strong and yet nimble mic technique to show off their vocal skills, running the keyboard-based tracks of largely mid-tempo pace into a rhythmic flow. From the mainly decent dance tracks on the album, check out the funkiness of “Beast Mode”, the comparatively quiet “Get It Now”, the upbeat “The Mumbai Cypher”and the tangential, but dark “Destruction”. With ‘Mumbai Till I Die’, Indian hip hop finally appears to have come of age.
